There’s something about college and the new environment that comes with it. It gives you another chance and it also comes with a clean slate (not that my high school slate was dirty, but I hope you get the point). In high school, I was the leader type who wanted to succeed academically. I wanted everyone to see me as a success story, but again, that was high school. Now that I’m in college, I want to be the best person I can be. I want to discover my hidden talents (if I do have one or two). I am going to be socially active in the sense that I am going to make friends from different walks of life. I want to be a well-rounded person. At the same time, I wouldn’t want to forget about the academic part of college. Hopefully, I get to graduate in time (2014 for Political Science and 2015 for Public Management) and get into law school after. Those are just simple goals. This time, I won’t pressure myself too much and I think it’s time for me to lay off leadership for awhile. To be a good constituent is what I’ll focus on. When I get enough knowledge and when that calling comes, I’ll be sure to answer it right away.
